I have a weird relationship with exercise. I love it. I hate it. You see, I love the way I feel after exercise, and in fact, I love most forms of exercise. But, there is this damn voice inside my head that I have to fight each day to exercise. Sometimes the fight lasts hours, sometimes minutes. And sometimes, the voice wins, and I don’t exercise at all.
It seems like the more days I exercise in a row, the easier the fight with the voice is. However, if I skip just ONE day, it’s like starting from scratch. I don’t know why that is.
This is why I am so happy to have found this “water walking” with one of my bff’s. I love going, and don’t think about not going. And it has given me the motivation and energy to exercise on the off days. If you’ve ever read the book, The Spark, by the founder of sparkpeople.com, he talks about doing only 10 minutes of exercise or physical activity but doing it EVERY single day. He says that using the success from that small victory helps build momentum for bigger victories. And that when you commit to those ten minutes, often you end up doing more. The book is actually excellent and based on a bunch of brain research.
But, anyway-
here is what i did for exercise this week:
Tuesday: Walk 60 minutes in water
Wednesday: Walk 60 minutes outside
Thursday: Walk 90 minutes in water
Friday: not a darn thing
Saturday: Walk 60 or so minutes in water (it started thundering so it ended early)
My plan for this week:

Wednesday: Either Walk or do one of my Exercise Videos, start push up challenge APP on iPad.
